Special Bombay Sandwich
The Special Bombay Sandwich is our take on the Mumbai street-style sandwich that anyone who lived in or visited Mumbai will recognize. Multiple layers of vegetables, a spread of chutney on every layer, sandwich masala dusted between, and the whole thing pressed till the bread crisps up. Ninety-nine rupees.

What makes it special
The masala is what separates a real Bombay Sandwich from a regular grilled one. Our sandwich masala is a mix of black salt, dry mango powder, cumin, and chaat masala. Sprinkled on the vegetables right before grilling, it gives the whole thing that street-cart taste people remember from Marine Drive or Churchgate station.
What is in it
Three slices of bread, generous green chutney, butter, sliced cucumber, tomato, potato (boiled and sliced thin), beetroot, capsicum, our Bombay sandwich masala dust, salt, and pepper. Pressed till golden.
What our regulars say
From Google and Zomato. Names abbreviated, edited for length.
The actual Bombay sandwich, masala and all. Chutney layering was done properly, not just a smear on one side. Brought back Marine Drive memories.
My parents, who grew up in Mumbai, recognized it immediately. Boiled potato slices, beetroot, masala dust. They ate quietly. Best compliment possible.
The masala is the key and they got it right. Chaat masala and dry mango powder between the layers. Street food elevated slightly. Added cheese for twenty rupees on my second order.

Common questions
+What makes it "Bombay style"?
The masala dust, the boiled potato slices, and the layered approach. Most other sandwiches don't include boiled potato or beetroot. We do. That's the signature.
+Is there cheese in this?
Not standard. Add cheese for twenty rupees at the counter if you want. Many regulars do.
+How big is it?
Three slices of bread cut diagonally into four triangles. A solid snack for one person, or splittable between two if you also order something else.
